Islamic dawa is a fundamental pillar in the field of joint Islamic action. We believe that dawa should start from an effective, positive, flexible and objective strategy allowing the Islamic Ummah to achieve its objectives.
Dawah is an important part of Islam, but often there is much confusion amongst Muslims, reverts and non-Muslims about exactly what it is and how to give it. When translated from Arabic to English, Dawah means ‘to invite’. In the context of Islam, it means to invite people to the teachings of Allah (SWT). This doesn’t mean to convert people – it means to spread the message of Allah (SWT) in the same way the prophets did. Quran says: “Invite to the way of thy Lord with wisdom and beautiful preaching.” - Qur’an (16:125)
The fate of every human being is in Allah’s (SWT) hands, and that means it’s not the job of any human to try and persuade another to convert to a specific faith. With this in mind, Dawah is about spreading the message of God in a respectful and informative way, not a pushy or forceful way.
By keeping this in mind, Dawa Wing of QKIC conducts several programs for people belonging to different strata of expatriate community.
We hold Tharbiya classes once a week on Thursdays. Monthly Knowledge meets also being conducted. A special Speakers Forum is organized periodically to groom future speakers. Malayalam Friday khutbah in various mosques in Qatar were monitored by our Dawa Wing. Various quiz competitions are held under dawa wing to increase Islamic knowledge. There are also training for daees to enhance dawa in the field.
